What’s on the docket:
Multi-modal Main Street
The plans include a bike lane along Main Street to improve multi-modal transportation options.
Two blocks of Main Street will be reduced to 2 lanes instead of 3 lanes. This allows for the bike lane and for expanding the sidewalks to encourage outdoor dining and gathering spaces.
INTERSECTIONS
Extend Pine Street Plaza paving to visually link it across Main Street.
Add “bump-outs” to help pedestrians navigate street crossings and be more visible.
Connecting the Gems
Connecting the Pullman Heritage Depot, Library, and Theater district to make a community arts and heritage triangle.
Better connecting the stairs from Grand Avenue up to the Gladish Community Center.
Exploring construction of a pedestrian path under Grand Ave.
URBAN FURNITURE
Updating downtown benches and trash cans
Main Street Trees
The trees lining Main Street will be replaced over time.
This will raise the canopy and allow for business signs and awnings to be more visible and building facades to be separated from the branches.

More landscaping of parking lots including shade trees.
Gathering Spaces
Pine Street Plaza and High Street Plaza will be updated and refreshed.
